Blockpass protocol is not fully decentralized… yet. Currently, Blockpass is decentralized in that it does not store user identities on its own or on third party servers. Instead, users are given full control over their data, with many options for where the identity is to be stored. Most users choose to keep their identity on their personal device (mobile phone).
As blockchain technology becomes more mature, Blockpass will mitigate its own dependency on centralized processes and move most of the business logic to decentralization.
