SMEs and startups often don't have a big compliance team, or the time to run a full document-heavy verification process on every new supplier, merchant, or partner. But they still need a real answer on who they're doing business with. KYB Quick Check is built for that: a fast, instant way to screen a company, run through a dashboard or API.

It works alongside a more thorough KYB process — one that involves collecting documents, verifying them, and checking the people behind the company in depth. That fuller process is still the right choice for higher-risk relationships or stricter regulatory needs. Quick Check is the lighter option for everything else: a first filter, a quick screen on lower-risk counterparties, or simply a level of diligence a small team can keep up with day to day.

What It Covers

AML Check — Screens the company against watchlist categories including Person of Interest (POI), Special Interest Entities (SIE), State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), and Entity Type; and screens associated individuals (directors, shareholders) against Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Person of Interest (POI), Relatives and Close Associates (RCA), and Special Interest Persons (SIP).

Registry Check — Pulls data straight from official government company registries. Depending on the country, this can include:

  • Documents: original filings like Articles of Incorporation, Certificates of Good Standing, Annual Returns, and amendments
  • Company Details & UBO: structured data on shareholders, directors, registration numbers, and the Ultimate Beneficial Owner (anyone holding 25%+ of shares or control)

Coverage spans 152 jurisdictions — countries, US states, and Canadian provinces — though not every jurisdiction offers both data types.

How to Access It

Checks can be run manually in the dashboard or via API for teams that want to build it into their own onboarding flow.
