Blockpass On-Chain KYC is a Web3-enabled service designed for Enterprise Corporate customers seeking a zero-knowledge verification process for crypto users. This service allows businesses to comply with regulatory requirements without accessing sensitive user data.
Key Features
- Zero-Knowledge Verification: Businesses can verify a user's KYC status without accessing personal information.
- Customizable KYC Rules: Businesses can define their own KYC criteria and have Blockpass enforce them.
- Secure API Access: Verify user status on-demand using dedicated API keys.
- Automated Data Management: Automatically archives profiles across all KYC statuses two months after submission, ensuring data security by deleting personal information while retaining logs, KYC status, and certificate results.
How it Works
- Business Setup: The customer decides on the KYC rules, and Blockpass will set it up. The customer creates API keys in the Admin Console to query the KYC status.
- User Verification: Blockpass entirely manages the verification process in the dashboard/ support.
- Status Query: The customer is not granted access to view the underlying data of users but can check their KYC status by using dashboard API.

FAQs on On-chain KYC(™)
1. Does Blockpass offer any guarantees for the accuracy of KYC verification?
Blockpass does not provide an indemnity for errors in KYC verification.
2. Are there any limitations on user location for KYC verification?
Blockpass performs KYC verification for users in certain jurisdictions. Please refer to the following list for details: List of KYC Identity Documents supported by Blockpass.
3. Does Blockpass provide a token to avoid handling users' personal information during KYC?
As a client using On-chain KYC, you can avoid accessing users' personal data during and after verification. Even after the engagement ends, and upon legitimate request from law enforcement, you can request access to a dashboard with verification statuses, but no underlying personal information. During the engagement, you can check the KYC status of a user by submitting a crypto address via API and receiving the status in return.
4. What happens if a user already has a Blockpass certificate from one client but a new client requires additional verification?
Blockpass users create a single KYC profile, which can be updated or expanded as required by different services. If a different client requires additional information, users must add new verification elements.
