2. Setting Up Your KYC Service
Verifications and attributes
In this section, you define what constitutes a valid submission:
Identity Documents: Select which document types (Passports, National IDs, Driving Licenses) you are willing to accept by ticking the relevant boxes.
Additional Checks: Enable or disable specialized verifications such as AML and Proof of Address.
- Click NEXT to save your selection and move to the next step. You may choose to collect Residential Address, Proof of Address, Phone number, and Crypto Wallet Addresses. Once your configuration is complete, click SAVE.
KYC Bot
In the KYC Bot section, choose the automation level that best fits your onboarding process:
- No Bot – All profiles will be reviewed manually. This option is recommended for low-volume services that require a more personalized review process.
- Basic Bot – Profiles with clear verification checks will be approved automatically, while profiles requiring further review will be handled manually.
- Advanced Bot – Automatically approve, block, or reject profiles based on specific criteria (certificate flags).
* Advanced KYC Bot Configuration
Powered by a customizable "if-then" logic engine, the Advanced KYC Bot allows clients to select from four pre-defined policy levels. Each tier functions as a specialized rule set, determining exactly how the bot responds to various triggers—including AML matches, suspected document tampering, or face-match inconsistencies.
Default Setting: The Standard Policy is automatically applied when you activate the Advanced KYC Bot.
Comparison Tool: To view a detailed breakdown of each policy and determine which fits your needs, click 'Compare policies'.
Guidance: If you are unsure which policy level is right for your business, please refer to our article: Advanced KYC Bot – A Solution for Profile Verification
- Custom Requirements: If our pre-set policies do not align with your specific operational requirements, please contact Blockpass to discuss a fully customized bot configuration.
Country restrictions
In the Country restrictions section, choose how you would like to control access to your verification flow based on users’ countries:
- No country restrictions – Users from all countries are allowed to register and complete verification.
- Block specific countries – Users from the selected countries will be restricted from registering and accessing the verification flow.
- Allow specific countries only – Only users from the selected countries will be allowed to register, while all other countries will be blocked.
Country restrictions are enforced during both the registration and verification processes. The system may check details such as the user’s residential address, ID issuing country, nationality, proof of address, and IP address to determine eligibility based on the selected policy.
After selecting the preferred restriction option, click SAVE to apply the configuration.
